Where in White Center? What buffet? I lived in WC for four years and I know the area quite well. I know there’s a Dollar Tree in Burien but that is really far. I live as close to White Center as I do downtown, but the new-ish bus schedule makes things a little difficult (as I’m sure you’re well aware). I really like White Center. It has a bad rep, but it’s actually awesome. I think it’s just that the “normal” Seattle white folks are afraid of the “ethnic” community. Capitol Hill has way more crime that WC, but when I moved to WC, everyone I knew freaked out and told me to carry mace.

That place has been there for so long and has always been that way.

They have a Google Plus page with pictures of the vacuum robots! One of them appears to be a vacuum robot of Raphael the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

I am glad you commented because I was thinking “No one is going to believe me about the vacuum store that loves robots and Jesus.” You probably pass it on the bus all the time.

I was going to say that Jesus would be more of a Dyson man, but that’s too flashy. Then I thought he might like Dirt Devils, but they have an evil name. Hoover probably makes the most sense.

You know what? I think I will. The issue I had before was that I had so many issues surrounding my job search and I couldn’t decide on the scope of the story. Then I got really sick and just stopped working on it. I still have the file and I wrote over 90,000 words!

I think I might start on the horribleness of my job hunt. Mine was…unusually bad. There were times where I was the problem, but honestly, probably 50% of the time I had weird interviewers.

Ugh! I worked on Lower Queen Anne for a year and a half and I never had a problem but that’s probably because I had a car at the time and didn’t walk around the streets there much. I currently live at a big intersection in the south end of Seattle, and more than 50% of the times I walk to the main strip in my neighborhood, I get honked at or yelled at. And ugh, if I sit on a bar stool in certain places, I am bound to get my ass grabbed. From what I gather, it’s difficult to be a woman with a big booty if you live south of Northgate.

Sidenote: I think you and I and Agnes would make a good hangout group? Maybe I’m being weird.

I know right? I’ve been looking and yeah no. NO really no.

I just saw one that boasted rents from $950-$1200 a month for “low-income people.”

And then another one for “very-low” income that was $850 a month.

I laughed at my screen.

If you can afford $1000+ in rent, why would you be looking at this site in the first place? Ugh.

They call $30k a year “extremely low.” I’m starting to remember why I got frustrated with this website.

No, but…I think I know who you are talking about. Are you talking about the lady who wears a mask and a garbage bag? Or the lady who wears gloves and steals paper towels?

The gloves-and-paper-towels lady is really, really nice. Not sure about the mask and garbage bag lady.

I KNOW right? I saw that for the first time and wanted to kick the lady in the ass.

I never thought that anyone would ask for that until my brief stint as a barista, but I’ve been in line behind a few people asking for it. It’s like asking a waiter to put salt in your soup or something. I just think it’s weird. Also, I’ve never seen anyone ask for a drink with sugar…it’s always sugar substitute.

I think that says something. I don’t know what, but SOMETHING.

I am hoping I can bus home without anyone trying to talk to me about it. It makes me anxious. Last year on election day…awful.

It makes me anxious, too. I actually initiated conversation! Or rather, I butted in. I was in the back and there were three people with their smartphones looking at different sites and I couldn’t help overhearing some of their conversation. Then I HAD to know the specifics, so I asked.

Yeah. He does that ALL over the place. I have seen him get booted off of a lot of buses.

I once mentioned him while I was talking to a bunch of people who rode the bus regularly, and no one had any idea who I was talking about. I’m glad someone out there knows! I used to work near the border between the International District and Pioneer Square and he and I were at the same bus stop a few times a week. He would start fights with people out of absolutely nowhere. Once he started a fight with me downtown because he saw me looking at the schedule for a bus that only ran on weekdays and I think it was a Saturday. I just backed off, but some people don’t have that sense.
